This content was especially fun to layout because it was one of those instances where the content really determined how it wanted to be laid out. The article didn’t really have a written structure. It was more or less a bunch of quick statements about specific elements within the design, mixed with a list of tips from the designer.
With all the statements and all the photos I found it necessary to group things and put things in little morsels of information. I have been really working my grid skills lately and I decided this would be a great spot for a modular grid. So I created one and found a commonality in creating some squares, actually rectangles, they aren’t perfect, but they are close. Utilizing photography, text and color, I was able to create this easy to read, visually interesting spread of information.
